The weather in San Joaquin Valley, California is hot which causes the Shiraz grapes to ripen fully with lower amounts of tannin and very ripe fruit flavors. Blackberries, cassis, and a little hint of spice can be found as the wine unravels on your palate.
The fruit comes from the San Joaquin Valley, which is the second largest area planted with Syrah in California. It was hand-harvested, destemmed, and sent to tank to cold soak for 48 hours before fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
