2020 Paperbark Cabernet Sauvignon

Like the shiny gold critter on the label, if you want a taste of pure Aussie sunshine in your glass, you’ll want to hop to it. Down Under, they do Cab like nowhere else. Intense sunshine, dry conditions, and ideal soils mean loads of rich, ripe fruit flavors. We call it Cab with the flavor dial turned up to 11. You’ll probably just call it “delicious.” There’s more here than just oodles of lush fruit, too. Paperbark is beautifully balanced (the mark of a well-made wine), boasting equally bold, velvety tannins and a lively streak of acidity that’ll keep you refreshed and have you and your friends reaching for a second glass. Look for aromas of black currant and plum, with a touch of mint leaf and vanilla-oak notes. Round and soft on the palate, this Cab offers is lovely for sipping on its own, but will also pair perfectly with pasta and marinara, chargrilled steaks, roast leg of lamb, or pan seared pork chops.
