The 2013 Angel's Envy Cask Strength is an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Notably, it marks the final series overseen by Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson before his passing. Only approximately 4,000 to 4,600 bottles were produced for this limited release.
This bourbon is aged for 4–6 years in new charred American white oak barrels, followed by a secondary finishing period of 3 to 6 months in imported Portuguese Ruby Port wine casks.
- Nose: Opens with rich notes of baked sugar, caramel, and candied raisins, balanced by subtle hints of leather, marshmallow, and a robust, freshly cut oak aroma.
- Palate: Delivers a dessert-like richness with flavors of smoky char, roasted nuts, prunes, vanilla, toasted oak, and a faint yet delightful influence of red wine/port, complemented by black pepper spice.
- Finish: Long and smooth, with lingering warm spice, dried fruits, and grape tannic notes.
