• 100% Nebbiolo from the Battista vineyard planted in 1992 on the south hillside of Cannubi • Fine sand & limestone soils (Sant'Agata Fossil Marl), union of the Tortonian and Elvesiano side of the Barolo area • South, southwest and southeast exposure • 260-300 meters elevation • Maceration and fermentation over 40 days in 'tini' (upright wooden fermentation casks) with frequent pumping over • Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in stainless steel • Approximately 46 months aging in 25-50hl Slavonian oak casks prior to bottling • About 250 cases are produced only in the finest years
