Where Blanton's Original is the everyday allocated single barrel at 93 proof, the Gold Label is produced for markets that want the same Warehouse H DNA at a higher proof point. The additional proof brings forward the rye spice and oak character of Mash Bill #2 in a way that the Original's lower bottling proof softens — spicy rye, tobacco, dark fruit, and charred oak are more pronounced, while the caramel and honey notes remain anchored beneath them.

Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, with the barrel number and warehouse printed on the label, and carries one of the eight collectible racehorse stopper designs spelling B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S. The Gold Label is available in the standard US domestic 750ml format, making it more accessible in the United States than the export-market Green Label (700ml) and Black Edition.
