Blanton's Poland 2019 is an exclusive release of Bourbon whisky that was produced specifically for the Poland market. This exquisite bourbon is crafted with Mash Bill #2, featuring a sour mash blend of corn, malted barley, and extra rye. Its silky and smooth texture delivers sweet butterscotch notes that are perfectly complemented by subtle hints of toffee and caramel on the palate. History
Blanton's Poland 2019 is best known as "liquid gold"! It was produced in 1984 under the guidance of Elmer T. Lee, Master distiller at the George T. Stagg Distillery, now known as the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery. There he worked with Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton, the President of the Distillery from 1921-1951. During the time he worked for him, he noticed that whenever there were ambassadors, dignitaries, and Colonel Blanton's family and friends, he would always choose a bottle aged at warehouse H at Buffalo Trace. This unique warehouse, the only metal-clad one at the distillery, was built shortly after prohibition. The metal structure creates significant temperature fluctuations, which can impact how the whisky ages, resulting in a distinctive flavor profile. Blanton's bourbons are typically aged for 6-8 years and crafted with a higher rye content, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to quality and exclusivity, which contributes to their rarity. In 1999, the introduction of eight different horse stoppers added a collector's aspect to the bottles, with each stopper featuring a letter that spells out “B-L-A-N-T-O-N'-S” and displays various positions of a horse race. These stoppers are often sought after by enthusiasts, although some letters can be challenging to find, adding to the allure of collecting. Blanton assures fans that it produces the same number of each stopper every year, maintaining a balance between rarity and availability. Furthermore, Blanton's found overseas are typically 700 ml, while domestic releases are 750 ml, showcasing the brand's adaptation to international markets.
