Black Bull 40 year old batch 3 blended Scotch whisky.
Batch 3 contains whiskies from Ben Nevis, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Glen Grant, Highland Park and Invergordon distilleries.
Blended Scotch is a mixture of one or more Single Malt Scotch Whiskies with one or more Single Grain Scotch Whiskies. The inclusion of grain whisky provides a diluting effect on the relatively harsher malt whisky and produces a smoother, milder product. With the resources to mix and blend from a diverse range of whiskies, Scotland’s whisky blenders are able to standardise the colour, strength and taste across their brands thereby generating repeatability and consistency in their blends.
Nose: Raisins, roasted almonds, butter scotch, dark chocolate, orange zest, freshly cut grass.
Taste: Citrus fruits, manuka honey, faint smoked oakiness, wild berries with a distance coastal flavour emerging.
Finish: Long mouth coating finish with a delicate traces of chocolate covered cherries, with salty traces fighting their way to the front.
