WINERY NOTES:

TASTING: "Elegant and expressive, this wine opens with delicate aromas of apple blossom and honeysuckle, gracefully interwoven with notes of fig and ripe pineapple. The palate is poised yet vibrant, offering layers of fresh apple, white pear, and subtle nuances of marmalade and gooseberry. At its core, a rich tapestry of dried apple, kiwi, and nectarine unfolds. The finish is long and polished, accented by a whisper of lemon pepper spice and uplifted by a refined acidity laced with tangerine zest—bringing both precision and length.”

VINTAGE: “We had a great winter, cold and wet, giving the vines the rest and hydration they needed for a strong start. The growing season stayed cool, creating near-perfect conditions for healthy vines and high-quality fruit.  Budburst came a little later than usual but was nice and even across the vineyard, setting us up for a great year. Ripening happened during a warm, dry stretch without any extreme heat, and with no lateseason surprises or disease. The fruit came in beautifully, clean, balanced, and full of promise."

WINEMAKING  “Made from vineyards planted in 1993 and 2016, this wine reflects both the depth of mature vines and the vibrancy of youth. The older blocks bring layered complexity and terroir expression, while the younger vines contribute freshness and precision. Fruit is hand-selected, destemmed, crushed and pressed where some portions where whole bunch pressed. A total of 11 pickings was done over the course of harvest to craft this wine. Natural fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 3 months of maturation on the lees to enhance texture and depth. Prior to bottling, 5% of the blend is integrated with barrel-aged Chenin Blanc, matured in seasoned oak, to add further nuance and complexity.”
