RED BUSH is a well-rounded whiskey that is as versatile as it is complex. Bushmills RED BUSH is an exceptionally smooth blend of our triple-distilled Irish single malt and fine Irish grain whiskey. Matured in American white oak bourbon casks, this exciting new blend provides a perfect balance of sweet, nutty and vanilla notes with hints of bourbon – which makes for a great choice for those new to Irish whiskey and frequent bourbon drinkers. Bushmills is a very traditional distillery and its rare to see a new expression – this was the first to appear for almost five years! It's a sweet and buttery dram with lots of vanilla and cream, as you'd expect from its maturation in bourbon casks, with lots of first-fill in the mix. Red Bush is a blend of single malt whiskey and grain whiskey, all of which is triple distilled. The use of nothing but American bourbon casks, according to the distillery, is meant to position the whiskey as something that bourbon fans new to Irish will find approachable — though in all honesty it’s a fairly standard approach.
