Simple DIY replacement with circlip pliers, though best done during a full lever group service since it's usually buried behind other components.
PRO TIPS
- Use proper circlip (snap-ring) pliers rather than a flat screwdriver, prying it off with a screwdriver is the most common way to bend the clip or gouge the shaft groove it sits in.
