Champalou Vouvray Sec is a 100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley, France. This Sec (dry) white wine is my favorite and most approachable of the Domaine's six Chenin Blanc wines they produce.
Incredibly aromatic nose of freshly cut flowers and honeyed pome fruit. On the palate, your tongue gets enveloped with said pome fruit and a stony minerality on a light-to-medium body. That first sip will instantly transport you to the rolling chalky limestone hills of the French countryside. Sustainable farming, natural fermentation, and minimal intervention all attribute to showcasing a time and a place–a place you know you want to be.
