Taste
Del Maguey Las Milpas is packaged in a unique green colored bottle, a distinctive hallmark of the Del Maguey brand. This exceptional mezcal captivates the senses with its fragrant and floral bouquet, showcasing prominent notes of cooked agave. Subtle hints of earthy minerals intertwine seamlessly with vibrant tropical fruits and refreshing citrus notes. Additional layers of flavor emerge, including delicate rose petals, fragrant lavender, aromatic tarragon, and fresh pea shots, culminating in a remarkably long and dry finish that lingers enticingly on the palate.

History
Del Maguey Las Milpas is a unique spirit that is bottled in a Special Edition bottle made from giant semi-wild, maguey Arroqueno and is dedicated to Thor Heyerdahl, an explorer known for his adventurous spirit and commitment to understanding different cultures. It is produced in the palenque of Anastacio Cruz Antonio and his sons Rigoberto, Abel, and Pedro, who have dedicated their lives to the craft of mezcal making. Their Single Village expression is meticulously crafted by roasting ripe agave Espadin in an earthen horno carved into the granite hillside. Roasted agave is milled using a horse-drawn molino, ensuring traditional methods are upheld. The fermentation process employs only ambient microbes and yeasts in open-air wooden fermentation tanks, allowing for a rich interaction with the local environment. The spirit is then twice distilled in small copper stills, resulting in a mezcal that truly embodies the essence of its origin.
