Duncan Taylor Rum Fiji 2004 13 years cask #13 53.4% Alc 750mL

Duncan Taylor Fiji Rum 2004 13 Year Old (Cask #13) 53.4% ABV, 750mL is a rare, single-cask, cask-strength rum distilled in Fiji and matured under the expert care of Duncan Taylor. Produced in 2004 and aged for 13 years, this exceptional release captures the bold, naturally tropical character of Fijian rum—rich, fruity, and delicately smoky—while showcasing the purity and intensity that only single-cask maturation can deliver.

Bottled at a powerful 53.4% ABV, this limited-edition rum offers deep complexity: from vibrant tropical fruits and molasses sweetness to elegant oak spice and subtle earthy tones typical of high-quality Fijian distillate. With only one cask used for this bottling, availability is extremely limited, making it a must-have for collectors, rum enthusiasts, and fans of premium, high-proof boutique releases.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Aromatic and expressive with ripe pineapple, banana, and mango, followed by layers of molasses, vanilla bean, light oak, and a touch of earthy, smoky depth characteristic of Fiji rums.

Palate

Bold and concentrated at cask-strength 53.4%. Flavors of caramelized tropical fruit, brown sugar, molasses, and toasted coconut unfold, supported by notes of baking spice, charred oak, and a faint herbal, smoky undertone. The texture is rich, oily, and full.

Finish

Long, warm, and lingering. Notes of spiced caramel, tropical fruit, vanilla, and gentle smoke fade slowly with a satisfying oak-driven dryness.
