Moka Efti 100% Arabica Espresso 1kg

This espresso has been roasted in Milan using traditional craftsmanship since 1930. It impresses with its mild character and the fine selection of exquisite Arabica beans. A complex spectrum of aromas unfolds on the palate, lingering long in the aftertaste.

The blend consists of 100% Arabica beans from Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia, Honduras, and Tanzania. A medium roast brings out their fine nuances perfectly—balanced, harmonious, and with elegant depth.

The original recipe goes back to the founder of the roastery: Giovanni Eftimiades, also known as Mr. Efti. In the 1920s, he came to Berlin from Constantinople and opened a small café there. As was customary at the time, he roasted his own blend – inspired by Italian coffee culture.

His coffee took the hearts of Berliners by storm. With the support of English investors, he opened the legendary Moka Efti on Friedrichstraße – at the time the largest and most popular coffee house in the city – and later another location in Tiergarten. A piece of coffee history that continues to have an impact today.

Passaparola Espresso Leggenda – “the legend” – transports you to the world of Neapolitan espresso, where tradition meets exquisite beans and masterful roasting. This special blend combines the finest Arabica beans from the world's most renowned growing regions.

Only 100% Arabica beans are used for Leggenda, including 5% of the exclusive Jamaica Blue Mountain. The fine beans from Jamaica, Central America, Africa, Asia, and India ripen under ideal conditions. Gentle roasting allows the blend to develop an elegant, complex aroma with a harmoniously balanced flavor structure.

Delicate macadamia notes blend with the warm, sweet and spicy depth of tonka beans. A delicate hint of floral honey adds a subtle sweetness that skilfully rounds off the flavour profile. Every nuance harmonises perfectly, so that Leggenda reveals new facets with every sip.

On the palate, it is velvety and full-bodied, with a fine, golden-brown crema. Its balanced intensity makes it a very special treat, whether enjoyed pure as an espresso or in a cappuccino or latte macchiato.

Elite is Cannizzaro's finest blend – composed of the finest Arabica beans, gently roasted and perfect in taste. Each bean is selected according to the strictest quality criteria and gently refined according to Italian tradition to develop its full aroma.

The fine Arabica beans in the blend come from Brazil, Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, and India. Each region of origin contributes its own characteristics – from fruity accents to chocolatey sweetness and delicate floral notes.
