Felix Rosy Rose 2023

Felix Rosy Rosé 2023 comes from the Wellanschitz family estate in Austria, crafted by Stefan Wellanschitz of Kolfok fame. The Blaufränkisch and Rotburger grapes thrive in cool-climate vineyards with clay and basalt soils, lending the wine a striking minerality. Whole-cluster pressing with 24 hours of skin contact creates its delicate hue, while fermentation with native yeasts ensures an expression true to its origin. Aged in large barrels made by a local cooper from Waldviertel trees, this rosé reflects deep-rooted tradition.  

Bright and fresh, it bursts with red berry aromas, a touch of citrus, and a subtle herbal note. The palate is crisp and lively, balancing juicy fruit with a mineral-driven finish. Unfined and with only minimal sulfur added, it remains vibrant yet structured, offering a natural purity that highlights the quality of its fruit.
