Founded in 2018 by Bill Straub and Bob D’Antoni, Four Gate partners closely with Louisville’s Kelvin Cooperage and has built a cult following for bold, barrel-finished, small-batch releases. Here the 60/36/4 mash bill (corn/rye/malted barley) gets a rum-cask polish, then bottled at 52.5% ABV for concentrated flavor without waterlogged dilution. Expect the rye’s spice to meet rum-driven molasses and dark sugar, with the maturity of an 8-year core bourbon.
