Foursquare Rum Distillery Magisterium Single Blended Rum

A remarkable blend of three distinct 16-Year-Old Single Blended Rums, crafted at Foursquare Distillery using both the copper Double-Retort Pot Still and the Continuous Twin Column Coffey Still. Two of the rums underwent double maturation: one aged 3 years in ex-bourbon casks and then 13 years in ex-Oloroso sherry barrels; the other aged 9 years in ex-bourbon, followed by 7 years in ex-Oloroso sherry. The final rum spent its entire 16 years in ex-bourbon casks. All aging, blending, and bottling take place on-site at Foursquare in Barbados, with this expression bottled at 58% ABV (116 Proof).

Tasting Notes

• Initial Impressions: Elegant and rich with a soft yet complex full palate and a lingering, enticing finish.
• Aroma: Caramelized orange peel, unlit Maduro cigar, toasted coconut, passionfruit, candied almonds and hazelnuts, nougat, with hints of cedar, sea breeze, and bell pepper.
• Palate: Soft and elegant with mid-draw cigar notes, rich across the palate with hazelnut, dark cocoa, orange zest, and s’mores, complemented by lightly charred marshmallow. Lingering hints of fresh blueberry and hazelnut, creating an exceptional sipping experience from start to finish.
