G4 Extra Añejo Tequila is produced by Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579) in Jesús María, Jalisco — fourth-generation family tequila production using Highlands Blue Weber agave, natural spring water from the property, and copper pot stills. Extra Añejo means aged a minimum of three years in oak; G4’s expression exceeds this threshold in small American oak barrels.
Felipe Camarena is one of the most respected fourth-generation tequila producers in the Highlands. El Pandillo’s production philosophy emphasizes terroir: their own estate agave (not purchased from brokers), their own spring water (not municipal), and traditional copper pot still distillation. The G4 name refers to the fourth generation of the Camarena family in tequila production — a lineage that also includes G4’s sister brand Tequila Tapatio.
