Crafted with Patience & Passion
In March 2022, Garrison Brothers filled thirty 53-gallon rye whiskey barrels with their award-winning four-year-old Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey. After three years of finishing, that bourbon emerged transformed—complex, rich, and distinctly Sonora.

A Milestone for Women in Bourbon
Guided by Samantha Olvera, the first female Latina in Texas to craft bourbon from grain to glass, alongside Co-Founder Nancy Garrison and the talented women of Garrison Brothers, Sonora stands as a celebration of strength, vision, and craftsmanship in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Sweet corn, toasted oak, and rye spice with layers of vanilla, butterscotch, citrus zest, almond tea, and wildflower honey.

Palate: Bold bursts of black pepper and cinnamon balanced by smooth sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming with notes of brown sugar and crème brûlée.

Aging: 7 years total — 4 years in new white American oak, followed by 3 years in rye whiskey barrels.
