The Glenmorangie X is crafted at the renowned Glenmorangie Distillery, one of the most famous whisky makers in the Highlands of Scotland. It is the first Glenmorangie single malt made especially for mixing, which is why it’s called “X.” Designed with help from top bartenders, this whisky is perfect for cocktails and highballs, yet smooth enough to enjoy neat.
This No Age Statement (NAS) whisky combines both younger and older malts to create a balanced and versatile taste. It’s aged in ex-Bourbon casks, with some whisky finished in new charred oak (virgin oak) barrels that add sweet and spicy notes. Bottled at 40% ABV, Glenmorangie X is crafted to be richer and sweeter than the classic Glenmorangie Original 10 Year Old, making it ideal for mixing.
The aroma offers soft hints of vanilla, pear, honeysuckle, and chocolate. On the palate, it brings flavors of crème brûlée, sweet orange, tropical fruits like pear and banana, and a gentle touch of spice.
