Gosling's Old Rum (750Ml)

Gosling Brothers Ltd. is a family-owned company that started in 1806 in Bermuda. They make this special dark rum using the same rich Bermuda rum base as their famous Black Seal Rum, but it is aged much longer—about 16 to 19 years—in charred oak barrels. This long aging process gives the rum a deep mahogany color and a smooth, complex taste.

Called the Family Reserve, this rum was once made only for the Gosling family. It is meant to be sipped slowly and enjoyed neat, over ice, or as a classy alternative to fine Scotch or Cognac. With 40% alcohol (80 proof), it offers rich flavors of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, dried fruit, oak, and a hint of spice, along with soft notes of smoke or tobacco.

Each bottle is hand-filled, hand-labeled, and sealed with black wax, packaged in a dark champagne-style bottle as a tribute to the brand’s early days when rum was sold in reused champagne bottles. Only about 9,000 bottles are made each year, making it a rare and collectible spirit. This rum has also won many awards, including being named the #1 Aged Rum in the World by the Caribbean Journal.
