Holyrood Pitch challenges traditional whisky-making by showcasing the bold impact of malt and yeast on flavour. Using a unique combination of Scotch Pot Malt and Brown Malt—typically found in dark porter beers—this innovative release is fermented with red wine yeasts, Pepe Nero and Toro Nero, to enhance its rich character. Matured in 100% Oloroso Hogsheads, Pitch delivers deep cacao, blackcurrant, and honey on the nose, followed by sweet stewed red fruits and spicy green peppers on the palate. The finish lingers with hints of coffee, raisins, and oak spice. A whisky that proves flavour starts long before the cask—think chocolate and hazelnuts wrapped in a warm, nutty embrace.
