This is as rare as Lagavulin gets. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2026, this extraordinary 31 year old sits among the most mature and coveted whiskies released by the distillery for Fèis Ìle, Islay's annual festival.
It carries on the Skies of Fèis Ìle series that began with a 29 year old released at the festival in 2024. The whisky was drawn from a sibling finishing cask which then spent over ten years finishing in heavily charred, Oloroso-seasoned American oak hogsheads. The resulting single malt has extraordinary complex layers with great intensity. The dark fruits and faint sweetness join with a smouldering warmth. Bottles were hand filled at the distillery at 51.1% abv.
