Four whiskeys. One blend. Barrel strength. Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task — Freddie Noe's second annual release blending four different straight whiskeys into a single barrel-strength expression that showcases the Noe family's multi-generational blending expertise.
Little Book is the personal project of Freddie Noe — the son of Fred Noe (current Jim Beam Master Distiller) and the grandson of the legendary Booker Noe, who created Booker's Bourbon in 1988 as the world's first commercial cask-strength unfiltered bourbon. Little Book is Freddie's annual platform: each chapter a different concept in whiskey blending, exploring what combining different straight whiskeys at barrel strength can produce.
Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task — the title a pun on the family name — blends four different straight whiskeys: a straight malt whiskey, a straight rye whiskey, a straight corn whiskey, and a straight bourbon. Each component contributes its specific grain character to the blend: the malt's fruit and complexity, the rye's spice, the corn's sweetness, and the bourbon's caramel and vanilla foundation. At barrel strength, the combined complexity is delivered at full intensity without dilution.
