Overview: With an area of about 45 hectares of vineyards distributed between the hills of the Langhe and Monferrato, the Cisa Asinari estates of the Marchesi di Grésy are a historic Piedmontese winemaking reality, whose roots date back to the end of the 18th century. We always produce elegant wines, suitable for both daily consumption and large celebrations.

The Estates are made up of four wineries located in the Langhe and Monferrato. The head office is Martinenga, an extraordinary amphitheater planted with vines, in the heart of the Barbaresco Docg. Martinenga is considered by many to be the best vineyard in the area and has been the winemaking monopoly of the di Grésy family since 1797.
In the heart of Barbaresco appelation, Martinenga is among the most important MeGA of the area, confining with Asili, on the western side, and Rabaja, towards northeast. A single vineyard of 11.93 hectares in an amphiteatre shape. South-southwest exposure at an altitude between 220m and 290m a.s.l.
Directly from the Martinenga vineyard, in the heart of Barbaresco appellation, south-southwest exposure at an average altitude of 280m a.s.l. Specific selection of grapes better suited to make a lighter wine than Barbaresco.

Tasting Notes: Color: Bright garnet red with light orange reflections. Bouquet: Intense notes of plum and cherry sinuously blend with balsamic nuances of mint, tea leaves, dried flowers and gold-leaf tobacco.

Pairing: Ideal with red meat, specifically lamb
