Mazzer Robur S Automatic Commercial Espresso Grinder

The Mazzer Robur S Automatic is the doser version of Mazzer's largest espresso grinder, and it earns its place on a busy bar by being simple and hard to break. You flip the switch, the 71mm conical burrs fill the doser, and the automatic cycle takes it from there: grinding restarts every twelve doses and stops on its own when the chamber is full.

Those burrs are the point. At 500 RPM on 60Hz power they turn slowly for their size, which keeps heat out of the grounds and makes light work of the dark, oily roasts that cake and clog in flat burrs. Output runs around five grams per second, so the doser stays ahead of a rush instead of becoming the bottleneck. Adjustment is stepless and micrometrical with a Memory Track collar to index your setting, and the grinding chamber opens for cleaning without losing where you were.

This is the mechanically simpler way into the Robur platform, suited to a shop that wants dosing volume and fewer electronics to think about. If you would rather grind on demand straight into the portafilter, the Robur S Electronic uses the same burr set with electronic dose control.
