History
Michter's 10 Year Bourbon 2016 is created with tradition in mind at the Michter's Distillery in Kentucky, Louisville. It was crafted in pursuit of Michter’s goal of making the greatest American whiskey. The distillery's roots trace back to the 18th century, when Swiss Mennonite farmer John Shenk settled near Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Valley. With an abundance of grains, Shenk began distilling whiskey, establishing what would become the United States' first distilling company. Michter's 10 Year Bourbon stands out due to its unique aging process, which involves a second custom barrel made from 24-month air-dried wood. This meticulous attention to detail results in a highly flavorful bourbon that embodies the heritage and craftsmanship of its origin.
