Michter's 10 Year Bourbon 2021 is crafted with a deep respect for tradition at the Michter's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, aiming to create the finest American whiskey. The distillery's roots trace back to the 18th century when John Shenk, a Swiss Mennonite farmer, settled near Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Valley. With an abundance of grains from his harvest, Shenk began distilling whiskey, establishing the first distilling company in the United States, known as Michter's. Over the years, Michter's has honed its craft through innovative barrel finishes, producing a barrel strength bourbon that undergoes an additional aging period in a specially prepared second barrel made from 24-month air-dried wood, resulting in a rich and flavorful spirit. This meticulous process showcases the distillery's commitment to excellence and celebrates the heritage of American whiskey making.
