History
Michter’s 20 Year Bourbon 2018 is created with tradition in mind at the Michter's Distillery in Kentucky, Louisville. It was crafted in pursuit of Michter’s goal of making the greatest American whiskey. In the 18th century, a Swiss Mennonite farmer by the name of John Shenk settled his family near Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Valley. After years of hard work, Shenk began distilling excess grains into whiskey, founding what would become the United States' first distilling company. Michter's 20 Year Bourbon is a testament to the distillery's legacy, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. It is a barrel strength bourbon that is aged for an additional period in a second custom barrel made from 24-month air-dried wood. This process, along with careful selection of grains, results in a highly flavorful bourbon that embodies the spirit of its historical roots and the dedication to quality that Michter's represents.
