Lovely delicacy on the nose and there's so much red berry fruit, and then spice. Grippy but fine boned tannins, and a creaminess to the texture. Very finely judged and excellent purity, with such detail on the finish. This is so long and pure and inviting.
Roland Velich's Blaufränkisch Reserve comes from strictly selected grapes from the vineyards he cultivates in Lutzmannsburg and Zagersdorf. In the typical Moric style, it shows delicate roasted berry fruit with fine juniper notes, lively acidity and firm tannin in wonderful harmony.

Intense garnet, purple reflections, narrow rim. Tobacco and herbal spices are underpinned with blackberry fruit, hints of sour cherry, juniper berry and liquorice; a multi-faceted bouquet. Substantial, dark cherry fruit, fine, well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity, salty mineral touch, very good length, fine sweetness; a lively style with good ageing potential.
