The idea is pure Gatlinburg ingenuity: take a dill pickle, soak it in moonshine, and you've created something that isn't quite a pickle and isn't quite a shot but is both simultaneously. Ole Smoky's pickles stay firm and crunchy — the brine and moonshine coexist rather than one obliterating the other — producing the dill, salt, and vinegar character of a proper dill pickle alongside the kick of Tennessee moonshine. The brine in the jar is one of the finest Bloody Mary additives available. At 40 proof, the whole jar is sessionable.
