From California, Orin Swift Machete 2022 is a bold red blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Grenache, aged 12 months in French oak. It pours inky and intense, delivering aromas of black plum, cacao, wild sage, and crushed stone that immediately command attention.
The palate is rich with blackberry pie, ripe blue fruits, and hints of orange peel and Amarena cherry, framed by chewy tannins and a touch of sweet oak. Bottled around 15.7% ABV, it shows best after decanting and pairs effortlessly with grilled meats or slow-braised dishes.
