The Quick Mill Alexia Evo single boiler home espresso machine is modeled after the Quick Mill Elaine espresso machine, which made a quality, long-lasting, and beloved single boiler espresso machine. This model introduces modernity and improves temperature stability while keeping its key configuration, which gives it its quality and long life.
Upon unpacking your Quick Mill Alexia Evo you'll immediately notice it's beautifully industrial prosumer grade due to its 304 stainless steel construction from frame to external shell. The Alexia Evo is beautifully constructed with stainless steel, and features an E61 group equipped with thermosyphon to maintain the temperature of all your brewing components. A large part of the machine, including the E61 group, is made up of low-lead brass components.
Additionally the Quick Mill Alexia Evo has a built-in shot timer that greatly improves the temperature stability of the single boiler. This is crucial for any espresso lover who occasionally prepares milk-based beverages like lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Stable temperature shot-to-shot is one of the most important factors, since even a slight temperature fluctuation can affect the taste of your cup of espresso.
With the Quick Mill Alexia Evo's PID with built-in shot timer, the T.E.A coated single boiler is fully insulated with a Velcro boiler wrap that reduces heat loss. The patented T.E.A. coating provided by Quick Mill further reduces the likelihood of metal contaminating any of the coffees produced. No fuss boiler drains can be accessed without removing any panels, making transporting or shipping your machine for service a breeze.
A no-burn steam arm has been incorporated into the Quick Mill Alexia Evo to prevent burns. A non-compression valve allows the user to easily stop the machine. In contrast to the Elaine, this no-burn arm has full articulation and can be swiveled in all directions. Latte art requires the ability to stretch and move the pitcher comfortably. In addition to helping you produce amazing micro-foam, the Alexia Evo now has a two-hole steam tip that increases the magnitude of steam coming out of your no-burn arm to give you ample time to produce the perfect micro-foam before it overheats!
Just below the manometer on the upper right-hand side of the Quick Mill Alexia Evo you will notice a three-position switch. It displays the steam and brew pressure. With the easy-to-access expansion valve located underneath the warming tray, you can easily adjust the pressure. In addition to simply acting as a power switch, this three-position switch offers some cost-saving features that will protect your machine from having the heating element damaged during initial startup. The Alexia Evo is turned off when in the center position. When you set up the machine for the first time, you will have to fill the BPA-free 3-liter reservoir by lifting the lid and then switch it to the left (1) position. Once the boiler has been filled and water has been passed through the E61 group, you can turn the switch to the right (2) position to power on the machine fully. The first time your boiler has been filled, you will only need to switch it from the center (off) position to the right (2) position. If the level of water in your reservoir drops below a certain level, you will hear an audible beep from the low-water sensor, the same one found on the Alexia Evo and Andreja Premium.
