The first release in Rémy Martin's prestigious Time Collection — celebrating the year Paul-Émile Rémy Martin created Louis XIII. Up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie each aged between 40 and 100 years. A crystal decanter inspired by an ancient royal flask unearthed near Jarnac.
Louis XIII was created by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin in 1874 — a landmark moment in the history of fine cognac. The Time Collection was established to honor that founding year and the principles it embodied: extraordinary patience, multi-generational maturation, and the pursuit of a complexity achievable only through the passage of extraordinary amounts of time.
The blend comprises up to 1,200 individual eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne — the Premier Cru of Cognac, where the chalky Campanian soil produces the longest-lived and most complex distillates in the region. Each eaux-de-vie has been aged between 40 and 100 years before being selected for this blend. The youngest component is older than most of the world's rarest whiskeys. The oldest has been maturing for a full century.
The crystal decanter was inspired by an ancient royal flask unearthed near Jarnac — the historical heart of the Cognac region and home to the Rémy Martin family estate. The decanter is presented in a luxurious box, making this one of the most visually complete collector's objects in premium spirits.
