Tasting Notes
Cherry and earth tones on the nose. Sun-ripened raspberry and pepper on the palate, dry finish.
The grapes are co-fermented in stainless steel then transferred to neutral oak barrels and aged for 12 months. After bottling, the wine is aged an additional 6 months before release.
Pair with: Pizza, tomato-centric pasta dishes, goulash, cured hams, carne asada and hard cheeses.

Plavac Mali is a cross between Crljenak Kaštelanski (ancestor of Zinfandel) and Dobričić. The name Plavac Mali translates “small blue grapes” with plavo meaning blue and mali meaning small. It is the most widely planted varietal along the coastline of Croatia.
