Beacon Gin gets its name from two Vancouver Island landmarks close to Sheringham Distillery's heart: the Sheringham Point Lighthouse near the original distillery site, and the cherry blossom-lined Beacon Hill Park each spring. Formerly known as Kazuki Gin, this contemporary-style gin leans away from a heavy juniper backbone and toward a more layered, floral profile. Alongside dried juniper and coriander, the botanical bill includes cherry blossom petals imported from Japan (preserved in salt, then rinsed and vapor-infused into the spirit), organic green tea leaves and flowers from BC's Westholme Tea Farm, and bright yuzu peel and grapefruit.
