Stroudwater Distillery Rye Whiskey

Here’s a whiskey that speaks from the heart, and at the heart of it is the unmistakably fresh grassiness of Rye. There’s definitely a “wry spirit” lurking in this bottle! Our Rye takes you back to when summers were endless and laying in a field staring at the stars was how a perfect day ended. But it also speaks to the boldness and derring-do that made you write your initials, intertwined with hers, on the trunk of that ancient oak tree.

We love the grassiness, boldness and spice that rye adds to whiskey. Our Rye Whiskey is made simply with 95% rye and just enough malted barley (5%) to make the chemistry work. While still a relatively young Rye Whiskey at just under two years old, there’s a depth, maturity and smoothness that betrays it’s years without tempering too much of its youthful spirit. At a full throated 90 proof, it’s just fiery enough while still being tantalizingly smooth.

This is the bottle we reach for when it’s time for an Old Fashioned or simply a whiskey and a lone ice cube.
