Talisker Distillery was established at Carbost on the Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland in 1830. Soaking up its own reflection from Loch Harport one day yet fending off North Atlantic gales the next. Talisker is a Scottish Islands malt whisky distillery equipped with five stills and has retained its traditional five round wooden worm tubs. Visitors are welcome at the distillery visitor centre where tours of Talisker Distillery are available.
Nose. Vanilla tablet, apples, toffee, rhubarb, sweet peat.
Palate. Creamy sweet peat, peppery, caramel, honey & almonds.
Finish. Long, sweet and lingering with a nutty and smoky aftertaste.
