Teeling Single Pot Still is Teeling's tribute to the Dublin whiskey style — a recipe of 50% unmalted spring barley and 50% malted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in a combination of virgin oak, ex-wine, and ex-bourbon barrels, reclaiming the single pot still tradition that defined Irish whiskey's golden age and is specific to the city of Dublin.

The Teeling family's connection to Dublin distilling dates to 1782, when Walter Teeling opened a distillery along Marrowbone Lane in the Liberties. When Jack and Stephen Teeling founded Teeling Whiskey Company in 2012 and opened their new distillery in 2015 — the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years — the Single Pot Still expression was their statement of what the Dublin style means: 50/50 malted and unmalted barley (rather than the higher unmalted barley ratios used elsewhere), triple distillation, and maturation that reflects the wine-influenced cask program Teeling has built its identity around. The result is their specific interpretation of the pot still category — different in ratio and oak program from the Midleton expressions, deliberately representing the Liberties tradition rather than the Cork tradition.
