Telmont Blanc de Blancs Vinothèque 2007 Extra Brut Champagne is a vintage Champagne made entirely from Chardonnay. Fruit comes from Avize and Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs, accounting for 66% of the blend, with 34% from Damery. Telmont used classic stainless-steel vinification without malolactic fermentation. Bottled in July 2008, the wine spent 14 years in the house’s underground cellars, was riddled by hand, and was disgorged in 2022 with a dosage of 3.4 g/L. This release is one 750 mL bottle at 12% ABV / 24 proof.
Telmont describes a vivid-gold Champagne that opens with complex nutty notes supported by coffee and raw cocoa. A powerful first impression develops into greater finesse as oaky tones give way to ripe yellow fruit, with vanilla and caramel continuing through the long finish. The house recommends serving it at 10°C.
