This small batch rye whiskey is a blend of two mash bills, hand picked to capture the full expression of rye’s bold character. Rich notes of plum and delicate citrus yield to clove spice and subtle hints of chocolate and tobacco. As the preeminent spirit post American Revolution, rye whiskey has long held a home in New England history. In crafting this rare offering we honor that heritage and aim to reignite New England’s legacy as producers of fine rye whiskey This blend of straight rye whiskeys ranges in age from a minimum of six up to seven years and is a marriage of two award-winning mash bills: 95% Rye / 5% Malted Barley and 30% Corn / 64% Rye / 6% Malted Barley.
NOSE: Jasmine and sweet apple dominate upfront followed by vanilla and rich notes of licorice root.
PALATE: Molasses and raspberry with brown sugar and toffee drizzled chocolate bundt cake finished with warming clove spice.
FINISH: Bold flavors transition to a soft finish of red fruit and baking spices with hints of lingering tobacco.
