Westward American Single Malt Stout Cask Private Selection Single Barrel Whiskey, a distinguished offering in the realm of American Single Malt (ASM), has gained prominence in recent years. As one of the largest producers in operation, Westward boasts a diverse range, including a Cask Strength, Stout Barrel Finish, Pinot Noir cask Finish, and a Rum Cask Finish. This particular release is our second single cask from Westward, showcasing a robust Stout Cask Finish with an impressive 62.5% ABV.

In the glass, the whiskey presents itself akin to flat cola. The nose unfolds with enticing aromas of mocha, malt, and orange, followed by intriguing layers of peanut sauce and sesame oil, reminiscent of Chinese Fondue. Upon the first sip, the palate is reminiscent of Mexican Hot Chocolate, delivering delightful chili/spice notes intertwined with rich chocolate.
