The inspiration came from my years working in emergency medicine and flying on a MedEvac helicopter. Trauma Mama® was named after a trauma surgeon I worked with — the kind of person you wanted around when everything went sideways. That emergency medical background became part of the personality behind what would become our signature flavored coffee.

In EMS terms, here's the patient report:

A coffee bean sustained multiple avulsions after contact with a high-powered coffee grinder. The bean was evaluated by a gourmet coffee roaster and found tastefully unstable. Bean resuscitation included a bolus of caramel and an IV drip of wild rum to bring the roast back to life.
