Fermentation experts Shane Baker and Pat Heist have been working in the spirits industry for decades, but it was only in 2012 that they decided to team up and put their years of experience to use for themselves. These new kids on the block are not really new and not really kids, so it comes as no surprise that the spirit they are producing is earning accolades for its extraordinary commitment to quality and careful craftsmanship. The small batch bourbon represents up to 12 barrels of spirit originating from the same fermenter. The mash bill is 64% corn, 24% rye and 12%malted barley, giving a nice balance of spice and malt to the nose and the palate.
