History
Willett Pot Still Reserve has a rich heritage deeply rooted in the Willett family's commitment to distilling craft whiskey. The journey began in Louisville, Kentucky, during the Reconstruction era when John David Willett, the family patriarch, started his whiskey-making venture at the Moore, Willett & Frenke Distillery. His son, A. Lambert Willett, joined the family business at just 15 years old, perpetuating their legacy. In the 1930s, Lambert and his son, Thompson, established the Willett Distilling Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. Although it later became known as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, the family tradition endures. Today, Even Kulsveen, Thompson's son-in-law, continues this legacy. Willett Pot Still Reserve, a single-barrel Kentucky straight bourbon aged between eight and ten years, has garnered acclaim, including a Gold Medal for taste at the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its distinctive bottle design mirrors the pot stills used for generations by the Willett family, celebrating their enduring craftsmanship.
