Emblematic of the Massenez brand, the Poire Prisonnière fascinates, as much by its taste and olfactory qualities as by its pear-shaped bottle imprisoning the pear inside.
The bottle is simply placed on the pear tree when it flowers… then the fruit develops inside the bottle, until maturity or the fruit and the bottle are delicately detached.
The Eau-de-Vie of Poire Williams Massenez obtained the only gold medal at the World Spirits Competition of Canada in 2011 & 2012!
Appearance: pale, shiny, clear.
Nose: lingering, sharp, exuberant, with beautiful density.
Mouth: complex, harmonious, delicate, round. With pleasant notes of fresh fruit. Well balanced, opulent.
A long, flavorsome finish with the taste of fruit.
Notes: a rich nose, finesse on the palate, superb.
