The Syrah grapes are handpicked and hand sorted. A third of the whole bunch clusters are crushed by foot and thereafter the remaining 70% is destemmed into concrete tanks. Spontaneous, natural fermentation occurs with minimal punch downs and pump overs. Natural malolactic fermentation occurs in older French casks and larger 2500L Foudres. The wine ages for 14 months in oak and another 3 months in stainless steel to harmonise after final blending.

Aroma & Taste: Reyneke Syrah has an aroma on this wine alone is worth the price of admission. Violets, roses, eucalyptus, and savory spice tones spring from the Reyneke Syrah to caress the nose. Smooth silky flavors follow in the mouth: this youthful Syrah’s mid palate is as pretty as it gets, as it’s loaded with all of the wine’s olfactory fireworks. To add to the hedonistic pleasure, ripe friendly tannins frame the fruit in the wine and provide an elegant, refreshing finish.
