Warners Raspberry Gin

Warner's Raspberry Gin started life as a one-off for a local beer festival in 2016 and proved popular enough to go worldwide. It's built on the distillery's award-winning Harrington Dry Gin, made at Falls Farm in Northamptonshire, with a third of every bottle filled with fresh pressed raspberry and blackberry juice — which is where the color comes from, with no artificial coloring involved. Honey from the farm's own bees and spring water from the property round it out, alongside juniper, coriander seed, hand-picked hedgerow elderflower, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, angelica root, and orange and lemon peel. Bottled at 40% ABV. There's a conservation angle too: Warner's launched it in partnership with the People's Trust for Endangered Species to help restore British hedgerows, which have declined sharply under intensive farming and support some 130 priority species. Expect ripe raspberries and home-cooked jam on the nose with bramble vine adding depth, opening into vibrant raspberry coulis melding with tart blackberry and piney juniper, finishing with a soft, lingering zing of elderflower and blackcurrant. Excellent with Mediterranean tonic, fresh mint, and a scatter of berries.
